Bobby entered the room that he shared with John and looked around disgusted by the mess that his roommate had left.
He pushed the mess mostly to John’s side of the room and settled down at his desk to study. He wasn’t very far when John flung the door open and strode into the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
“What’s up, Iceman?” he asked derisively.
Bobby glared at him. “What’s up, Allerdyce, is that this room is a pig sty and I am tired of it. Put your stuff away.”
“Aw, I’m sorry for messing up your pristine environment.”
"And you just think that makes it all better, don't you?" Bobby was on a roll. “You think you can just apologize and that it will make things better. Well you’re wrong. I’m not letting you leave this room until your mess is cleaned up.”
“Is that a threat, Drake? I’d like to see you try to stop me from leaving,” John said, heading for the door.
Bobby turned his gaze to the door knob and stared steadily until the door knob was frozen over.
“Shit, Drake, you think a little ice is gonna stop the Pyro?” John pulled his ever present Zippo from his pocket. Before he even got the lid flipped open, Bobby’s gaze turned and iced it shut.
“Aw, you’re asking for it now, Drake.”
“What are you gonna do, Pyro? I took away your super powers. Now you’re just a regular guy.”
“I can still kick your ass, Drake.”
“Why don’t you just clean up your side of the room, John? Then I’ll unfreeze your precious lighter and the doorknob and you can go woo whatever girl it is that has caught your eye this week.”
John glared at Bobby and stepped towards him menacingly. The boys stared each other down for a long minute and then both burst out laughing.
“If that’s all you wanted, Bobby, all you had to do was ask,” John said, a mischievous glint in his eyes, as he began to round up his dirty clothes and throw them in the hamper.
